New schemes herald next era for custody
The report incorporates both quantitative and qualitative approaches in analyzing cross-border custodian activities. The quantitative research is based on Asset Benchmark Research’s annual asset servicing survey which attracted 64 respondents in 12 countries in Asia-Pacific and MENA. The respondents, 81% of which are outside of mainland China, cover asset managers, private investment funds, insurance companies and pension funds. The qualitative research is conducted through secondary research and interviews with custodian banks and institutional investors.
