Citi, BNPP, BAML, HSBC, lead green bond league tables in Q1 2019

Citi, BNP Paribas, Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), and HSBC led the green bond leagues tables in Q1 2019, according to the Bloomberg Global Green Capital Markets report.

Citi improved its ranking substantially jumping to #1 in Q1 2019 from #13 in Q1 2018 for corporate and government issues. It was followed by BNP Paribas who ranked #2 in Q1 2019 from its previous ranking of #2 in Q1 2018. HSBC ranked #3 in Q1 2019 from its previous ranking of #6 in Q1 2018

Citi also ranked #1 in Q1 2019 in terms of global green bond principles, also an improvement from its previous ranking of #12 in Q1 2018. It was followed BAML who ranked #2 in Q1 2019, also an improvement from its previous ranking #13 in Q1 2018. HSBC ranked #3 in Q1 2019, also improving its previous ranking of #7 in Q1 2018.
